Located in Barcelona's commercial port, it was designed by the American architect Henry N. Cobb
This was inspired by the lines of big ships it has a circular structure, and is made up of four buildings that house rented offices, conference rooms and a 5-star hotel.
The INGESCO solution
Given the unusual aspects of the WTCB's construction, and the fact that its facade is finished in glass, INGESCO designed protection for it that uses INGESCO ESE lightning rods. The active points were principally chosen to meet two requirements:
- To effectively protect the structure.
- To minimise the effect on the building's appearance.
