Characteristics
DLEOLOS K15FO series lightning counters have a fibre optics output for notifying lightning impact detections. The output signal generated by the lightning counter can be received by DL EOLOS FO-RCVR-DIN series receivers.
The lightning counter detects the lightning current impulse in the down conductor when it is conducted to ground by the lightning protection system. Detected lightning strikes are reported as events in the optical fibre output and, at the same time, accounted in one mechanical counter.
These counters harvest all necessary energy from the lightning strike current impulse without any need for batteries, external power sources or moving parts.
The high bandwidth magnetic sensor used in DL EOLOS K15FO series counters ensures a contact-free installation and a maintenance free operation.
- Great registration capacity.
- Permanently visible registered events count.
- High detection sensitivity, ranging from 0,18kA, with a high bandwidth that allows to detect lightning impacts in common installations, telecommunications towers, elevated structures, and wind turbines.
- Direct attachment to wind turbine blades with adhesive.
- An accessory for fixing to walls and other structures is also available.
- Does not require external power or batteries for operation, maintenance free operation.
- Contactless installation, no ohmic contact with the down conductor.
- Great durability with IP65 ingress protection grade.
- According to standards UNE 21.186, NFC 17.102 and IEC 62.305.
- Immediate impact detections notification.
