INGESCO takes a step forward in the incorporation of lightning protection and prevention systems in the BIM (building information modeling) environment.

Lightning protection products in BIM format

INGESCO remains at the forefront of the sector and following Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 February 2014 which recommends the use of technology to modernize and improve public procurement processes, offers its customers the possibility of having the files of external protection systems in RFA (Revit), one of the software authorized to work in BIM.

BIM, or Building Information Modeling (lately also known as Building Information Management), is a methodology, a collaborative working philosophy that is revolutionizing the construction and industrial sector. By using 3D models, this environment links all actors of the different phases in reference to the construction of a building, from its planning phase to the construction and installation. By working in parallel, the project is constantly updated.

In addition to centralizing all project information into a single model created by all participants, BIM incorporates geometric, time, cost, environmental and maintenance information.

The following INGESCO products are now available:

PDC lightning rods, PDCE lightning rods, fitting parts, masts, anchors and control systems.

With these files that INGESCO puts puts at your reach, you will be able to incorporate lightning capture systems in your projects (both construction and rehabilitation) and verify their correct installation taking into account all the structures and devices of the other actors involved in the development of the building. This will help reduce errors, unforeseen events, time and, therefore, costs.

We will continue to provide the most efficient lightning solutions to ensure the safety of people and also facilities, with a correct installation of a lightning protection system in this collaborative environment.
