Fire prevention and labor risk prevention
The General Sub-Direction of Forest Policy of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment of the Region of Murcia has acquired Thunderstorm Warning System sensors (TWS) and the Previstorm.net Lightning Location System with coverage throughout the region to determine the forecasts of storm formation in the Northwest area of the region:
Fixedmodel ECO surveillance net.
Determines the formation of storms with electrical charge for labor risk prevention of the staff occupying the fixed surveillance net (MALLA ECO) of the Region of Murcia and in particular, the ECOS located in the Northwest areas of the region.
Determines the formation of electrically charged storms for forest fire prevention.
Determines the risk of lightning strikes from the storms forming in the Northwest strip of the region for the prevention of wildfires.
Portable model UMMT
Determination of the formation of storms with electrical charge for assistance during forest firefighting tasks, as well as the forecasting of erratic behaviors of the general wind during fire extinction works influenced by the winds of the storm itself.
Determines the risk of lightning strikes from storms that are formed to assist during forest firefighting tasks.
